Duchess of Cornwall hands back flowers from crying youngster

The Duchess of Cornwall managed to avert a tantrum situation when a toddler burst into tears after she took the bunch of flowers the girl had presented to her, according to an article published by the Daily Mail.

Lois Walters, 29, introduced her daughter, Ffion Keany, to the Royal at Aberaeron, a Welsh seaside resort.

Ffion clutched the bouquet of sweet peas and intended to give them to the Duchess. However, at the last moment the youngster had a change of heart and desperately held onto them when Camilla stretched out her hand.

The toddler then began to cry as her mother took the flowers from her and presented them to Camilla. The Duchess was able to resolve the problem though; with a smile she kindly handed back the flowers, telling young Ffion: "This is for you."

Afterwards her mother stated: "I think that we will keep the flower and press it in a book."

The Duchess of Cornwall and the Prince of Wales are currently conducting a summer tour of Wales.

Pollen-free flowers - Perfect for a sufferer of hay fever

Flowers undoubtedly possess a huge amount of natural beauty and bring pleasure to the lives of many; however, for those suffering from hay fever they can prove to be an absolute nightmare - resulting in sneezing fits and causing eyes to itch.

Luckily though there are a number of wonderful pollen-free flowers out there - allowing hay fever sufferers to take in their spectacular vibrancy.

Many horticulturists recommend gladioli, orchids, Agapanthus and irises as great purchases for those suffering from hay fever; this is because they give off a relatively small amount of pollen, which is low enough not to bring on hay fever symptoms.

However, traditional staples of a summer bouquet, such as lilies, should be avoided. Buying bouquets featuring these flowers is only likely to bring on the aforementioned symptoms - which isnt at all nice.

So if youre going to treat a hay fever sufferer to a bouquet this summer, make sure you treat them to one featuring pollen-free flowers.

Lily Allen receives flowers and apology from soldier after controversial tweet

Pop star Lily Allen has received flowers and an apology from a British Army soldier who made an insulting comment about her on micro blogging site, Twitter, according to an article published by Contactmusic.

The Not Fair singer spotted a remark made to her by Harry Wilson, a Scottish sniper, on the site on Tuesday (July 10). The tweet read: "All the best with your new family just seen you bought s**t I mean adopted a child from Africa."

Allen claimed that the message was racially offensive; military officials then launched an investigation into the incident. Many users on the site abused Allen, who then announced plans to take a break from the site.

However, just a few hours after announcing her self-imposed Twitter break, she tweeted: "I have just received some flowers and a hand written apology from Harry Wilson, which I accept. I hope we can all now move on. Thank you."
