Serena Williams longs for flowers
Four-time Wimbledon winner Serena Williams has admitted that no one buys her flowers, according to an article published by The Sun.
Williams, 30, previously stated that she was unlucky in love and had no plans to retire from tennis, or at least not for a couple of years.
She said that she would love nothing more than to receive a bouquet of roses from a male admirer.
"I havent gotten any flowers in a really long time. Not from someone of the opposite sex that doesnt have to do with the business.
"When I did get flowers I didnt appreciate them so... yeah, that would cheer me up. I love roses - I love red roses, I love white roses and I love pink roses," she added.
Ranked No 6 at the tournament, Williams beat Chinas Jie Zheng on Saturday (June 30) and is set to face 25th seed, Yaroslava Shedova for a place in the quarter finals.
