Wonderful festival of flowers to take place at Plymouth church

The Minister Church of St Andrew, Plymouth, is set to host a flower festival, according to an article published by the Plymouth Herald.

The aptly named Flower Festival will run from July 11 (Wednesday) until July 14 (Sunday); the event will celebrate a number a number of this years special occasions, including the Olympics, Armed Forces week and the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

A range of wonderful flowers, fruits, vegetables and trees will be used to highlight the natural beauty of the earth at the event as well. Teams of volunteers are said to have worked all year round to prepare the flowers - used in the arrangements - that will feature at the festival.

Visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy coffee and homemade cakes, wonderful cream teas, as well as light but delicious lunches - provided by a dedicated catering team.

The event will be open from members of the public from 9am until 4pm on July 11 to 14; on Sunday (July 15) the festival will open at noon before drawing to a conclusion at 4pm.
