Q: Are lilies poisonous?
A: Only if you’re a feline, in which case they can be deadly. Warning signs that kitty’s off kilter include vomiting, blindness and paralysis – and you need to act quickly to ensure renal failure doesn’t occur. Keep puss out of the cat equivalent of Boots by ensuring lilies are kept far out of his reach – just one nibbled leaf or lick of pollen could prove fatal.
Q: How do I remove lily pollen?
A: The secret is in your stationery drawer. Use a piece of Cellotape to dab up dribbles of pollen spilt on fabric.
